There is a car & boat show in Lake Oswego Sunday. included are 10 Vintage Motorcycles. I’m showing the 46 and there are nine other folks, including Jim Waites,, who was at the One Show. It’s at George Rogers Park from 9 to 2. In the past, they’ve had an impressive layout of cars. This is the first year they’ve had Motorcycles. -Tom N.

Boring Cornfield Concourse

Image
Andy is a friend to all the local moto clubs here in the Portland area and he opens his home (attendance by invite) every year to host his Boring Cornfield Concourse ride and lunch gathering. He lives out in Boring, Oregon where the riding on vintage and antique motorcycles is plentiful and fun!! I personally didn’t attend this year due to the overwhelming amount of events this day, but good friend Mighty Mike of the Mighty Garage was in attendance and documenting as usual to share all the fun!! (Check out his video above and YouTube channel here: https://youtube.com/@themightygarage?si=qS1DrlFHorWItm8s ) Apparently the route was ridden in reverse order from last year and what a fantastic route it is!! (I rode it last year) After the ride, freshly picked sweet corn and BBQ was a well deserved treat!! Lots of moto chitchat with neat friends all on fantastic motorcycles is what it’s all about!! Thanx Andy for all you do for our moto community!! Your Pal, -Pod-

OVM’s Annual Picnic and Ride-In-Bike-Show

August 3 was the date of the Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists annual picnic and bike show at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland Oregon. While every year is a great time, this year the weather stayed cool which helped attract everyone with a vintage motorbike to show up. New and old friends arrived to show off what they rode in and catch up with each other. The selection of motos was diverse with all types and brands represented. From an Arial Square Four to a vintage Ducati to a 1917 Indian to a couple Moto Guzzi’s to a 33 Harley-Davidson to a slew of Nortons and Triumph’s the OVM picnic attracted the best of what the Portland Moto scene has to offer. https://oregonvintage.org Lots of chitchat over a delicious lunch while being surrounded by beautiful vintage motorcycles is what makes this community shine!! Always a fantastic time attending this annual meeting!! Even a few of us AMCA Oregon Trail members were there (also registered as OVM members as well) to be apart of the fun!! (video co...

The show was held at the Volcanic Theater both inside and out with full bar, food, vendors, ride-in-moto-show, bands, and skateboarding!! The invited show bikes were displayed inside and out in the courtyard turning the area into a spectacular gallery where visitors could enjoy and drool all over the amazing craftsmanship of the custom built bikes. Our Oregon Trail Chapter had a booth manned by Chris and James that also had a few antiques displayed and an option for joining the club. Show began at high noon and went until 8pm. Music began with a DJ set from Tim at the Ton Magazine followed by Johnny Knuck. The Slappys took the stage next followed by Its Chaos and Vacancy Floor for a rocking great time!!
