Hot Pipes II in Bend, Oregon

Hot Pipes II motorcycle show put on by Bend’s coolest dudes, Brian Zager (BKZ/GRFX)https://www.brianzager.com/and Jason Koschnitzke (6 volt cycleshttps://6voltcycles.com,AMCA/OTC), was an absolute banger this year!!! The show was held at the Volcanic Theater both inside and out with full bar, food, vendors, ride-in-moto-show, bands, and skateboarding!! The invited show bikes were displayed inside and out in the courtyard turning the area into a spectacular gallery where visitors could enjoy and drool all over the amazing craftsmanship of the custom built bikes. Our Oregon Trail Chapter had a booth manned by Chris and James that also had a few antiques displayed and an option for joining the club.

Show began at high noon and went until 8pm. Music began with a DJ set from Tim at the Ton Magazine followed by Johnny Knuck. The Slappys took the stage next followed by Its Chaos and Vacancy Floor for a rocking great time!!

Awards were next with Johnny Knuck for best in show, Seth Nefus for best pipes, and Dave Rey for best paint on Forest’s sweet bike!! And of course the trophies were built and welded by yours truly and pinstriped by Charlie. I think the winners were very pleased!!

Lots of bikes to view, vendors to shop, and skateboards to ride, there was something for everyone!!! We even got a little welcomed rain here and there to help keep the temperature down.

All good things come to an end, the show rapped up at 8pm and within an hour, we all had disappeared into the summer night drunk on motorcycle bliss!! What a fantastic weekend!!! Talk of Hot Pipes III sounds like a good possibility…… stay tuned!!!

“Ride’em. Don’t Hide’em” is a term that the courageous participants of the Motorcycle TransAm take to the ultimate highest level; riding 100+ year old motorbikes 16 days 4,000 miles coast to coast across the USA 🇺🇸. Averaging about 250 miles a day, riders stopped at various places to visit neat moto museums, roadside attractions, and historical landmarks while viewing the entire country from the saddle of their antique machines of marvel. Nightly moto maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls are essential to keeping these 100 year old bikes going strong!!
