President’s Letter New Year 2026
Happy New Year
We could all say “I can’t believe it’s January’ again, but it happens every year. No surprise. The weather is drier and warmer than usual. My recent drive over the pass revealed very little snow except the most upper elevations. The upside is it makes me think more of riding weather. A few have been out lately for short excursions. So looking ahead, we should have some good riding ahead with quite a few options for partaking in vintage rides and shows around Oregon in 2026.

You will recall we had our election in November/December. The result is your four previous officers were re-elected. We look forward to working on events and rides in the new year. Dues are due, and two events stand out. We are currently working out details for a ride in the Blue River area in July. We plan 3 days of riding based out of Harbick’s and a Banquet at Takoda’s. John Day in September will also offer 3 days of Riding. There are several other items of interest and you can find them on the Events page on the Website. If you have parts to sell, or are looking for parts, drop a line and we can put it in the newsletter. If you have a restoration project, share it with us. We are adding email addresses to the web, so it is there whenever you look at the page and have some input for us. A couple of my facilities projects.

So from John, Tim, Dan (Pod), and myself, get out and ride.
